Indiana has Standardized Medicare Supplements
By law, all Medicare Supplements sold in the state of Indiana are standardized. This means that every policy must be clearly identified as Medicare Supplement Insurance and it must offer the exact coverage allowed. This allows all plans to compete on price (premium).
All Medicare Supplements sold in Indiana provide the same general benefits, however, some provide more gap coverage. This lets you to select the plan with the amount of insurance you want.
Each carrier markets the policies it deems best. Insurers:
- Are not required to offer every plan
- Must offer Plan A
- Must also offer Plan C or Plan F
